Elisa has been engaged with the NDIS since it first became government policy, as an electorate officer involved in early roll-outs and more recently as a Local Area Coordinator. Her understanding of the world of disability deepened when she took on a caring role after her mother suffered a series of strokes in 2012 . Elisa is deeply committed to seeing the NDIS fulfil its full potential and understands this will only happen when participants understand the scheme, learn how to access and navigate it and use it to live the lives they want and deserve. She loves engaging with participants, helping them with their plans and identifying and securing the supports they need. Elisa has a degree in Communications, Culture Studies and Media and is in the process of completing a law degree.
