Prior to 2014 I had a strong technical background in manufacturing and engineering. This involved coaching and mentoring staff to improve skills and performance whilst supplying a quality product to the required specifications. A change in career direction occurred early in 2014 that focused directly on people and their needs. This was achieved through my work in Disabilities and AIN training. I continued my education with the Diploma of Nursing and also doing a Diploma in Mental Health. I have a strong focus on people’s needs and providing the relevant support to meet their plans and well being. I have the ability to be objective and consider new and innovative ideas and challenge what is considered conventional. I have a strong ability to take on new tasks with enthusiasm and to enlist the support of colleagues in these endeavours.
