Lisa is the founder of Chatter Hands and mother to Brenton, a young man living with disabilities. Currently she assists Brenton with self managing his individualised funding package, and frequently guest lecturers at various TAFE’s delivering community awareness for students studying courses from Disability and Community Welfare to Fitness.
Lisa has worked in the Community Welfare/Disability sector since 1994. During this time, she has held positions including Direct Care Worker, Project Officer, Regional Coordinator and Inclusive Networks Consultant. She holds a Diploma in Social Science (Community Welfare), Diploma of Management (Disability Studies), and a Certificate II in AUSLAN. Lisa has also completed Asset Based Community Driven (ABCD) Facilitator Training with the ABCD Institute Northwestern University (Chicago USA),Bank of I.D.E.A.S. & Family Action Centre – University of Newcastle, and an Inclusive Coaching Workshop with the NSW Government Office of Communities Sport and Recreation.
