Lara has a Diploma in Community Service and Family Intake, a Certificate IV in Mental Health and a further Certificate IV Community Service . She first Joined the disability sector as a Support Worker in 2011 where she primarily supported adults living with a disability and mental health.
Over the last 3 years Lara has worked as a Support Coordinator expanding her skills within the NDIS arena and extends her focus in working within the mental health and disability services. She encourages client participants to build their own capacity through a person centre approach and supports them to make informed decisions on their own individual values. Lara has a strong ethical sense and ensure that the clients/and or family and their carers have the capacity to determine their own outcomes.
She is empathic and is enthusiastic to connect the clients into informal and formal supports to encourage a fulfilled and meaningful life and does not impose her own opinion as she is client focused.
Lara is based in Adelaide metropolitan however she is able to support Regional and Hills based clients as well.
