Libby is the Founder of Think Act Achieve a business developed to assist community organisations through training their leadership, management and staff about the NDIS, Person Centred thinking, planning, active support and outcome management. Libby’s aim is to enhance the skills people have in in our community so they can become leaders of change, informed decision makers and have greater awareness of how to allocate their funding decisions and opportunities. Libby assists people with lived experience of disAbility and family members to move towards greater opportunities and skills-based recognition. Libby facilitates leadership opportunities with people who have lived experience of disAbility including public speaking, business management supports and skills-development. Libby is a researcher (PhD candidate) delving into the NDIS through the avenue of self-managed/self-directed/plan-managed models of funding in Australia, US and the UK. Libby is a family member of someone who has lived experience of disability and encourages a rounded approach to new ideas regarding how we can enhance the way we provide assistance to people who need a little extra support to deliver their abilities and gain valuable and meaningful connections in their lives. Elizabeth has presented Nationally and Internationally within conferences, universities and organisations to encourage a progressive future in the development of better supports, research and outcomes through moving forward with individuals and their circles of support. Libby is also the coordinator of a Disability Research Student Group which comes together monthly as a cross institutional approach to discussing current research and progress related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme and supervises adjusted exams for people attending university who may have a disability, mental-health supports or require alternate circumstances.
